You Again (2010)

Estrogen-fueled comedy about a former school pariah that realizes that life shouldn’t be an extension of high school, and yet sometimes is.
Marni (Kristen Bell) was a former acne-ridden bookworm in high school, and tormented brutally by The Beautiful People, i.e. cheerleaders. She ditched the acne, braces and glasses but parlayed her smarts into a VP position at a PR agency, proud of how far she’s come. She’s rudely yanked back to earth when her mother (Jamie Lee Curtis) informs her that her brother is marrying the head high school bully, the ultimate cheerleader and tormentor, the nasty JJ (Odette Yustman). Marni is wondering how to deal with this, but her mother blithely tells her people change and she needs to give JJ a second chance—until she’s forced to confront her own nemesis, JJ’s Aunt Ramona (Sigourney Weaver).
It’s not high art but it’s a lot of fun, and you can tell the leads are having a good time with it. The casting made this; several people have already blogged that Odette Yustman even looks kind of like the girl that made their life in high school a living hell. Even the wedding set was empty-headed and princessy, the sort of thing a girl like JJ would want.
Three chocolate morsels. Formulaic, but the ingredients were choice and it was mixed well.
